Paula Deen, the cookbook author and TV star, came out with her own furniture collection with Universal Furniture some time ago. Universal and Paula Deen have now added 42 more pieces to the original 50 piece collection that offers casegoods and upholstery selections for the entire home.
When you think of Paula Deen, you think of tradition, comfort, and warmth, and her furniture collection reflects that.
The designs in Paula's collection were inspired by plantation style antiques, coastal design, and of course, Savannah's own distinctive character. All the pieces seem to have aged over a period of time, giving them a warm, comforting feel that is very much like her cooking. The Down Home collection also features some pieces based on her own furniture.
The furniture, originally available in four different finishes Tobacco, Linen, Spanish Moss and Sea Oat now has four more finishes: Oatmeal, Molasses, Screen Door and Porch Swing.
