The Simply Arts and Crafts collection from Vaughan-Bassett is a large bedroom collection with over 100 pieces in two solid oak and two cherry finishes. The collection features one bedroom in the Mission style, and this one in the Arts and Crafts style.
The Arts and Crafts bed has the strong, yet grounded rectilinear patterns you associate with the Arts and Crafts style on the head board as well as the footboard.
Although the Arts and Crafts style originated in England in the late 19th Century, it soon found a foothold in North America. The simplicity of this style, and "truth to the material" philosophy translates well into solid wood furniture. Arts and Crafts was very popular in the early part of the 20th century, and has seen numerous revivals, never going completely out of style.
