What do you look for in a chair or sofa that you re-upholster?
Most of the time I look at the lines of a piece. I have a feel for what I like or or don't like and tend to lean towards older French and Victorian pieces. They really don't make them like they used to. I love carving and while I don't really look for one thing over the other, I look for something that can be transformed, and it's a very quick decision. I can see the beauty and possibility in everything. Whether we choose to do that piece is another story.
What is the one thing you would want people to know about The Divine Chair?
I think the single most important thing is that all our pieces are one-of-a-kind. All are created as an individual. A lot of time goes into each piece, and each piece is special to me, and I have a hand in every single one of them which makes them very unique.
