Topiaries are not used exclusively for holidays, and they have been around for a long time. Traditionally they are shrubs sculpted into shapes and have adorned many a magnificent garden. The most common shapes are spheres and orbs, cones and spirals. Animal shaped topiaries also abound.
Holiday topiaries give you a chance to bring the outdoors in, or decorate with completely fanciful creations made from unexpected materials. They make exciting accents and bestow a festive look upon an entrance, a mantel, or a corner. Since they add height, but use very little horizontal space usually, consider using one instead of a Christmas tree where space is tight.
1. Plow Hearth Topiary Tree With Lighted Base And Holiday Accents

The tall base of this topiary encases a set of glowing lights that form a Moravian star.
The miniature lights strung across it, along with red berries and pine cones create a nice combination of nature with a festive touch. The needles have cashmere tips to make them softer.

2. Nearly Natural Cedar Spiral Silk Topiary

This tall topiary is made for indoor or outdoor use, and has a classic spiral shape. Another feature is its height, because this topiary stands at 6' tall.
The tree is made of plastic and potted in a plastic pot, leaving you free to embellish or not as you prefer. Dimensions: 11" x 11" x 72".
3. Boxwood Topiary

From Grandin Road comes this boxwood topiary. The imitation boxwood ball is decorated with golden balls, with a golden finial on the top. It is further dressed up with patterned and colored ribbons that adorn the base of the ball.
The topiary is potted in a velvet planter. There are two sizes available. The smaller 17" topiary featured here has a black velvet-lined pot with a checker patterned bow in red and black. The larger 23" topiary has a red velvet pot with a black ribbon with white polka dots.
4. Courtly Stripe Cypress Topiary

Made by hand from preserved cypress leaves, Courtly Stripe cypress topiaries have finishing details made up of ceramic rings, brass buttons, ribbon and ceramic finials and decorations.
The topiaries are available in four sizes: The smallest has a base of 2.5"Sq. x 8.5"Height. Next size has a base of 3"Sq. x 12"Height. The 24" high topiary has a base of 4"Sq. while the tallest one is 30" H with a 7"Sq. base.
5. Bordeaux Tabletop Topiary

This is a topiary that is small but packs a big holiday punch with a combination of "cloves, faux berries, and deep-red ornaments."
Constructed from plastic and PVC, it can be used year after year. Comes in a resin urn.
Dimensions: 6"Dia. x 25"H.
6. Two Pre-potted 3' Artificial Cedar Topiary

This set of two topiaries can be used indoors or outdoors, and is perfect if you like to use symmetrical balance in your decorating.
The trees, placed in the included pots, are approximately 3' high, and made of plastic. Larger sizes measuring 4' and 5' are also available.
7. Red & Black Glittered Berry Christmas Topiary

This topiary or small tree, is 51" high, and comes in a black paper-mache pot. the branches are detachable.

8. Three "Alpine" Pine Cone Topiaries

This set of three pine cone topiaries has a rustic touch,. Natural vines and pine cones have been used in addition to the usual faux greenery, plastic, and polyfoam.
The three different sizes included in the set start at 18" H with a 7"Diameter. The medium topiary has an 8"Diameter, and stands at 23" high, while the largest has a 9"Diameter with a height of 29". Designed by Tami Leung.
9. Blue Spruce Holiday Topiary

A handcrafted topiary with a terra cotta urn, the blue spruce holiday topiary was also designed by artist Tami Leung.
Displaying a mix of modern and traditional elements, the topiary displays greenery, modern colors and ornaments, and is constructed from paper, polyfoam, PVC, plastic and fabric.
Dimensions: 16"Dia. x 45"H.
10. Salzburg Creations Mixed Shimmer Pine Cone Topiary

The mixed shimmer pine cone topiaries are called that because they feature a mix of silver-finished pines alongside natural ones. Materials used in addition to pine cones are wire and styrofoam. The pine cone topiary is an elegant 21" in height and the base of the silver colored pot is 6" in Diameter.
