Guide Review - Handwoven Rug from The Prairie Collection by Marcia Weese
Grain, a hand woven rug, is just one of the ten patterns in The Prairie Collection inspired by the Mid-Western landscape in which Marcia Weese grew up. Marcia Weese, who is also an interior designer and artist, has named each of these rug patterns after an element of the landscape... Prairie, Ripple, Grain, Flora, Wind, Root, Pool, Net, Stem, Rain.
This rug, along with all the other rugs in the collection is available in twenty rich, earthy colored wools and six silks. They are also available in custom colors and hand woven by Tibetan weavers in Nepal, from 100% Tibetan wool with silk accent. Because of the material and dyeing process there are slight variations in texture, which coupled with the flowing, highly abstracted landscape elements create a work of exquisite beauty.
Since these rugs are also highly stain resistant and durable, they can be used in a variety of settings.
