Well, I don't mean to paint with too broad a brush, but here are some new year resolutions we'd wish some furniture retailers to consider. You know who you are.
Stop calling bicast leather 100% leather. While bicast leather is certainly an upholstery alternative, calling it real leather is misleading.
Stop calling it a "Lifetime Warranty." It is confusing for the consumer. Whose lifetime?
Stop playing games with prices. Hiking up prices and bringing them down for sales has really been hurting retailers for a while. Consumers no longer want to buy something unless its on sale.
All these are dishonest practices that create mistrust and give the entire furniture retail community a bad name.
